About this role

Goodfire is a research company advancing the science of how AI systems work. We're looking for an Account Executive to create strategic partnerships with life sciences organizations using AI to transform drug discovery, biology, and clinical development. This role demands consultative selling ability, technical curiosity, and domain judgment.

You will own strategic accounts end to end: identifying high-potential organizations, building relationships with technical and executive buyers, and negotiating commercial terms. You will partner with the Field Team to scope pilots and expand successful engagements into long-term partnerships.

This is a high-autonomy role where you will help shape the Life Sciences go-to-market strategy. You'll work alongside a team of top interpretability researchers and engineers from OpenAI and DeepMind. Goodfire is headquartered in San Francisco and backed by over $200M.

By closing strategic partnerships, you will directly impact the future of safe and powerful AI. Successful engagements will expand into long-term collaborations that shape how AI is understood and debugged. This role offers a unique opportunity to define a new sales category at the intersection of AI and life sciences.

Requirements

  • Experience owning and closing complex sales cycles with technical, scientific, or research-oriented buyers.
  • Strong discovery, commercial judgment, and ability to connect a technical product to a concrete customer problem.
  • Ability to learn AI/ML and life sciences concepts quickly and communicate credibly with researchers, engineers, CTOs, Heads of AI, and scientific leaders.
  • High agency, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell into life sciences organizations, including pharma, biotech, and AI-native companies.
  • Experience with consultative selling in a technical domain, translating complex product features into customer value.

Responsibilities

  • Own strategic Life Sciences sales cycles, building pipeline, running discovery, navigating technical and executive stakeholders, negotiating agreements, and closing new partnerships.
  • Develop rigorous account strategy to identify where Goodfire can create value across pharma, biotech, research organizations, AI-native life sciences companies, and adjacent scientific teams.
  • Translate scientific and technical customer needs into commercial opportunities by understanding workflows, model development challenges, validation requirements, and internal buying dynamics.
  • Partner with the Field Team to shape pilots, technical scopes, success criteria, and expansion paths that demonstrate real impact for life sciences customers.
  • Bring customer needs, objections, competitive context, and emerging use cases back to product, research, marketing, and leadership teams.
