About this role

DocuSign brings agreements to life for over 1.5 million customers and a billion users across 180 countries. The Account Executive for Small-to-Medium Business develops and closes new business while expanding the footprint with current customers in the SMB segment.

This individual contributor role focuses on acquiring new customers and selling additional use cases, products, and services into existing accounts. Success requires exceeding monthly and quarterly quotas with proactive deal management and accurate forecasting.

The position reports to the Regional Vice President of SMB and involves close collaboration with Sales Development Representatives, Solutions Engineers, Account Managers, and partners across Legal, Security, and Professional Services.

Hybrid work divides time between in-office and remote, with a minimum of two office days per week. The role offers opportunities to drive adoption and usage through the broader DocuSign partner ecosystem.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of direct sales experience in a quota-carrying role
  • Experience managing and closing software sales-cycles
  • Demonstrated ability to over-achieve quotas in past positions
  • Proficient computer application skills, including Salesforce.com and Google Suite
  • IT industry and software sales background

Responsibilities

  • Drive success of the company’s goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline through prospecting efforts in the assigned territory within the SMB or Mid-Market segment
  • Develop and deliver customized sales presentations and product demonstrations by phone and via online demo
  • Craft and negotiate enterprise level proposals and contracts
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue achievements accurately through proper use of sales tools
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales Development Representatives, Solutions Engineers, Account Managers, and cross-functional teams including Legal and Professional Services
  • Travel as necessary, typically 10%
