Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies use Stripe to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate new opportunities. As an Account Executive on the Startup Platforms team, you will create partnerships with the most innovative software platforms.

You will manage a named account list of B2B platforms already using Stripe. The role focuses on helping these platforms understand how Stripe Connect can turn payments into a competitive advantage for their customers. You will identify growth opportunities and exceed expectations through strategic account planning.

The Platform Velocity Sales team works with upper middle market and enterprise companies. You will build C-level relationships, orchestrate executive touchpoints, and coordinate cross-functional workshops with Engineering, Product, and Finance teams. Outbound prospecting and full-cycle sales ownership are core to the position.

You will contribute to repeatable processes and scalable engagement models that shape the platform partnership strategy. The work involves complex, consultative sales cycles and direct collaboration with Product and Engineering to influence product direction.

Requirements

  • Adept salesperson and relationship manager capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organization, including the CTO, COO, and CFO.
  • Experience working with Startup, SMB, and Mid-Market companies.
  • In-depth understanding of the buyer journey and ability to lead a complex, multi-party sale in a highly consultative manner.
  • Used to building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require deep product understanding combined with technical knowledge.
  • Naturally analytical and enjoy digging into business models and helping customers quantify their investment decisions.
  • Excited about prospecting and capable of independently leading a sales cycle from start to finish.
  • Enjoy building and actively participating in the development of sales process, value proposition articulation, and creation of key tools and assets.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage and cultivate a named account list while crafting comprehensive account plans aimed at winning and expanding business with upper middle market and enterprise companies.
  • Build and sustain key relationships with C-level executives, ensuring the orchestration of appropriate executive touchpoints.
  • Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture new business opportunities.
  • Own the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to closing sales with upper middle market and enterprise clients.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of sold platforms and facilitate their effective utilization of Stripe products.
  • Collaborate with leaders across Engineering, Product, and Finance to conduct complex product workshops and financial analyses.
  • Engage with Product and Engineering teams to shape and drive product strategy.
