About this role

The RealReal is the world’s largest online marketplace for authenticated, resale luxury goods. Our team is growing, and we’re seeking experienced salespeople to help drive new consignment business. The Luxury Specialist drives new business by acquiring consigned items from new clients within an assigned territory.

If you’re customer-obsessed and self-motivated to “win” in a fully-remote, quota-driven sales environment, this could be the perfect fit. Work to convert marketing generated leads into new consignors and self-generate new business by prospecting and activating lapsed leads. Connect with consignors through daily outreach and virtual appointments.

Leverage strong consignor relationships to gain referrals while providing an outstanding customer experience. Outreach daily to existing clients (90-100 per day via phone/text), review contracts, and set pricing expectations through deep knowledge of luxury using internal tools. Compensation includes base hourly pay plus uncapped commission, with top performers earning over $2,500/month. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of proven success in direct sales roles or quota-driven retail roles
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and establish trust and credibility with clients
  • Proficiency and comfortability using software such as G-Suite, Email, SalesForce, CRM
  • Ability to commit to full-time hours (40 hours per week)
  • Self-motivation and drive to achieve results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
  • Experience converting leads to close new business

Responsibilities

  • Convert marketing generated leads into new consignors and self-generate new business by prospecting and activating lapsed leads
  • Connect with consignors to drive consignment activity through daily outreach and virtual appointments
  • Leverage strong consignor relationships to gain referrals for new consignors
  • Outreach daily to existing clients (90-100 per day via phone/text)
  • Provide an outstanding customer experience
  • Review contracts with consignors
  • Set pricing expectations through deep knowledge of luxury, while utilizing internal tools and resources
