Calm is a leading consumer mental health company on a mission to support everyone on every step of their mental health journey. As a member of the Product & Retention Marketing team, you will directly contribute to DTC growth at Calm.

In this role, you will own and execute our lifecycle marketing program across email, push notifications, and in-app messaging. You are a hands-on operator who translates strategy into production-ready campaigns and influences cross-functional partners without direct management authority.

This is a senior individual contributor role with high autonomy, partnering closely with the Lifecycle Marketing Technical Lead. You will have the opportunity to shape user journeys and drive engagement for over 180 million downloads across 190 countries.

Requirements

  • Senior hands-on practitioner with deep understanding of user journeys, behavioral triggers, and subscription economics
  • Strong track record of independently building and operating high-performing lifecycle programs for a DTC or subscription business
  • Deeply analytical with the ability to ground decisions in data to improve user LTV and reduce churn
  • AI-first mindset applied to lifecycle marketing execution and optimization
  • Ability to thrive operating with high autonomy and influence cross-functional teams including product, engineering, data science, and creative
  • High EQ and strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Resourcefulness and deep curiosity to find innovative ways to keep users engaged and supported

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a senior individual contributor with high autonomy, owning the lifecycle program end-to-end
  • Partner closely with the Lifecycle Marketing Technical Lead to translate strategic requirements into executed campaigns
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle strategy across email, push notifications, and in-app messaging to drive onboarding, habit formation, subscription conversion, and win-backs
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform audience segmentation, personalization tactics, and dynamic content approaches that enhance engagement and minimize churn
  • Drive a rigorous A/B testing and experimentation roadmap across copy, creative, layout, timing, and frequency to constantly optimize channel performance
  • Partner with Data Science and Product to leverage behavioral data, build sophisticated user cohorts, and implement automated, event-driven trigger campaigns
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve user LTV and reduce churn through data-driven decision-making
