Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, with a mission to increase the GDP of the internet. As a Startup Account Executive, you will drive Stripe's future growth engine by building relationships with founders of the fastest growing venture-backed companies, selling the entire suite of Stripe products.

You’ll own the full sales cycle from lead to close for startups, managing inbound leads and turning them into happy Stripe users. You identify high-potential prospective users and engage with Accelerators and VC firms to refine our sales process while collaborating across Product, Marketing, and User Operations teams.

The Funded Account Executive team sits within New Business Sales and is responsible for closing net-new accounts. You operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment, requiring strong analytical capabilities and comfort with basic modeling, and contribute to team projects that develop and refine the sales process.

You have the opportunity to incubate and launch new sales channels for prospective users. If you’re hungry, smart, persistent, and a great teammate, you will play a key role in developing scalable strategies that amplify the number of new businesses joining Stripe.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of sales or client facing experience, preferably at a high-growth SaaS company, bank, consultancy or venture capital firm, with a track record of top performance.
  • Ability to understand the Stripe API and build great relationships with highly technical founders.
  • Ability to understand complex requirements and craft custom solutions.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities including comfort with basic modeling.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in technology.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for startups.
  • Identify high-potential prospective users from inbound leads.
  • Build relationships with founders of the fastest growing venture-backed companies.
  • Manage inbound leads and the full sales cycle through onboarding, turning them into happy Stripe users.
  • Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine the sales process, including engaging with Accelerators and VC firms.
  • Engage with Product, Marketing, and User Operations teams to help amplify our growth trajectory.
