As a Staff Software Engineer on the Core Infrastructure team, you'll design and build new infrastructure systems while scaling and strengthening existing ones. You'll own multi-cloud infrastructure including Azure, GCP, Kubernetes orchestration, networking, and container management. Lead technical initiatives around observability, incident response, and operational excellence to enable rapid issue detection and resolution. Architect distributed systems for reliability with load balancing, quota management, and failover mechanisms.

Requirements
- Deep expertise in designing scalable infrastructure for AI platforms handling billions of tokens
- Experience owning multi-cloud environments including Azure and GCP
- Proficiency with Kubernetes orchestration, networking, and container management
- Strong skills in observability, incident response, and operational excellence systems
- Background in architecting distributed systems with load balancing and failover
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Pulumi
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure systems that power Harvey's AI platform across multiple cloud regions
- Own and evolve multi-cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP), including Kubernetes orchestration, networking, and container management
- Lead technical initiatives around observability, incident response, and operational excellence
- Architect and optimize distributed systems for reliability, including load balancing, quota management, and failover mechanisms
- Partner with Product Engineering and Security teams to ensure infrastructure is an accelerant
- Drive infrastructure-as-code practices using tools like Terraform and Pulumi
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through code reviews, design reviews, and technical leadership
