About this role
LiveKit is building the infrastructure layer for the agentic era of computing. As Staff Product Manager for Agent Observability, you will own the product that helps teams understand, debug, and trust their voice agents in production. This product is central to LiveKit's strategy and a category still in its infancy.
You will set the vision and roadmap for the entire observability suite, including traces, recordings, dashboards, evals, and quality metrics. You'll partner closely with the engineering team that builds it, designing for both deeply technical users and non-technical operators.
The PM team is small and high-leverage, with each PM establishing foundations in a new area. You will be the sole PM for this product, the most important new product at LiveKit. The environment demands fast iteration, polish, and deep customer understanding.
The category for voice AI observability is being defined right now, and you will shape a product used by some of the largest companies deploying voice agents at scale. This includes OpenAI, Salesforce, Spotify, and Meta, among tens of thousands of developers. This role offers the opportunity to drive adoption and revenue while making a massive impact.
Requirements
- 8+ years in product management at a senior or staff level, ideally having owned a developer-facing or data-heavy product.
- Technical depth — able to reason about how a complex system works under the hood and earn the trust of strong engineers.
- Multi-persona product sense — built for both deeply technical and non-technical users in the same product, with design judgment for dense interfaces.
- Obsessed with making the best product for customers.
- Known as the go-to person for tackling tough problems.
- Focused on polish, detail, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Own the observability roadmap — set a clear vision and a sequenced plan for the suite in partnership with engineering.
- Ship products people rely on — turn a complex, data-dense problem into intuitive experiences customers use every day.
- Make agent quality measurable — build the evals and metrics teams need to track latency, cost, conversation quality, and behavior.
- Design for two audiences at once — create a product that works for deeply technical users and non-technical operators without compromising either.
- Get deep with customers and data — understand how teams actually run and debug agents in production, and let that shape priorities.
- Grow it into a business — drive adoption and revenue so observability revenue reflects the real value it delivers to customers.
Benefits
- Own a critical product category as the sole PM, setting the vision from the start.
- Shape a product category still in its infancy and help define voice AI observability.
- Collaborate with engineers from leading AI companies deploying voice agents at scale.
