About this role

Padlet is building software for a good education that inspires curiosity, creativity, and community. As Senior Product Designer, you'll design new products and features across mobile and web, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll help build products so good users delight in using them.

Your day-to-day includes coaching less experienced designers, helping hire more designers, and putting Padlet in the hands of a billion people. Work can be chaotic with frequent changes, and CEO has strong design opinions, but you'll ship quickly and avoid design purgatory.

The office is in Presidio, a national park, a five-minute walk from the beach with outdoor WiFi and views of the Golden Gate Bridge. It includes a meditation room, game room, library, art studio, kids room, and a full makerspace with 3D printers and laser cutters.

Your work will have tremendous impact on global education, with an existing audience of 40 million users. You'll design with craft and quality, not rely on A/B tests unless needed. You'll get hate mail when redesigning, but also experience the joy of shipping delightful products.

Requirements

You like working hard.
You are honest.
You've designed beautiful software products.
Bonus: you have a good sense of humor.
Proven ability to design for both mobile and web platforms.
Experience coaching and mentoring less experienced designers.
Strong portfolio demonstrating visual content creation and collaboration design.
Comfortable with a chaotic, fast-paced work environment and strong design opinions from leadership.

Responsibilities

Design new products and features across mobile and web.
Coach less experienced designers in the design team.
Help hire more designers, if necessary.
Put Padlet in the hands of a billion people.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for visual content creation and collaboration tools.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure design fidelity and smooth implementation.
Iterate on designs based on feedback from the CEO and team.
