San Francisco, US · Full-time · $170,000 – $205,000

About this role

Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy — verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. This role sits at the intersection of machine learning, fraud detection, and product decisioning, owning critical components of the Document Verification platform.

You will drive the forensic engine, decisioning logic, and computer vision models that translate model outputs into actionable outcomes. Day-to-day, you'll partner with Data Science and Engineering to improve detection of injection attacks, deepfakes, and document manipulation.

The team moves fast, thinks critically, and acts like owners. You will work closely with high-value customers to understand fraud patterns, support complex implementations, and balance detection accuracy with user experience and conversion impact.

This is a high-impact role with significant ownership over systems that shape how signals become outcomes. You'll help scale DocV adoption globally across public sector, financial services, and emerging markets.

Requirements

  • Strong product judgment with deep curiosity about fraud patterns and detection techniques.
  • Ability to translate complex model behavior into clear product logic and customer-facing outcomes.
  • Experience partnering with Data Science and Engineering to drive technical product execution.
  • Proven track record of designing decisioning or risk logic that supports diverse customer profiles.
  • Customer-centric mindset with experience in high-stakes implementations and cross-functional leadership.
  • Analytical proficiency with SQL and data analysis to evaluate performance metrics and fraud vectors.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap and execution for DocV’s forensic engine, including detection of document fraud, injection attacks, and AI-generated content.
  • Support efforts to scale DocV adoption globally, including in the public sector, financial services, and emerging markets.
  • Partner with Data Science to define, evaluate, and improve model performance across key fraud vectors.
  • Design and evolve decisioning frameworks that translate model outputs into actionable outcomes, balancing fraud detection with conversion impact.
  • Work closely with high-value customers to understand fraud patterns, edge cases, and operational needs, translating feedback into product improvements.
  • Use SQL and analytics tools to evaluate model performance, decisioning outcomes, and conversion impact, conducting deep dives into emerging attack vectors.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Fraud Investigation, Customer Success, and Sales to align on product behavior and tradeoffs.
