About this role
As Brand Design Lead at Descript, you will shape and advance our brand identity. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, define and execute strategies across prospect- and customer-facing surfaces. Manage agency relationships to expand reach and deepen affinity with our customer community.
Continuously up-level the brand’s visual language by enacting best practices for a distinctive sensibility. Blend strategy and craft to tackle unbounded design problems and develop standards for fast, consistent decisions. Produce designs and assets for web, social media, email, events to support growth and product launches.
Enable scale by serving as a design partner for external agencies on growth and sales programs. Build relationships within the Marketing team and beyond, collaborating thoughtfully and mentoring creative marketers. Anticipate misalignments proactively to keep teams aligned.

Requirements
- 10+ years as a Brand Designer, ideally in startup and/or SaaS setting
- Proficiency in marketing technology platforms, operations, tools including website CMS and social media formats
- Hunger for going deep on technical products and their users
- Proven organizational and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication
- Thoroughness and pragmatism with a keen eye for detail without compromising deadlines
- Multitasking ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize as needed
- Ownership and initiative to make progress amid ambiguity and dynamism
