About this role
This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of both a Senior Digital Designer and a UX/UI Designer. You will create visually appealing digital assets, landing pages, and graphics for digital products. The main part is maintenance and evolution of our design system, crafting user interfaces that communicate information and elevate UX.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business objectives into intuitive designs. Craft visually engaging digital designs for web and mobile while aligning with brand guidelines. Develop design systems and component libraries in Figma for consistency across products.
WS Cross function Art Team is a dynamic team of talented print and digital marketing designers and production artists. Collaborate with editorial counterparts to bring print, website, emails, app and digital assets to life. Partner with eCom, Development, Brand Marketing and Photo Studio, sharing creative ideas and building community.
Incorporate accessibility principles into designs for inclusive products. Mentor designers with constructive feedback and collaborate with developers for accurate implementation. Contribute to evolving design processes to optimize efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- Expertise in design tools such as Figma, After Effects or similar.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
- Knowledge of user-centered design processes and methodologies.
- Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Understanding of website design and website accessibility.
- Photo and video editing skills.
- UX/UI design skills.
Responsibilities
- Craft visually engaging digital designs for web and mobile platforms while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with creative directors, UX designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into user-friendly designs.
- Develop design systems and component libraries in Figma to ensure consistency and scalability across all digital products.
- Incorporate accessibility principles and best practices into design solutions to ensure that digital products are usable and inclusive for users with disabilities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital design.
- Mentor designers and provide constructive feedback to help them grow professionally.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and provide support during the development process.
- Contribute to the evolution of our design processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality.
Benefits
- Expected starting pay range of $100,000 - $115,000.
