Brex is the intelligent finance platform that enables companies to spend smarter and move faster in over 200 markets. As a Staff Product Designer, you will shape the experiences that make complex financial systems feel effortless through thoughtful, scalable design.

You will work with Product and Engineering teams to execute a strong product design standard and challenge the status quo. Efficiently shipping products that deliver impact, you'll help define short and long-term strategic direction while maintaining a high visual bar.

Design at Brex obsesses over quality and clarity, combining creativity with high craft. This hybrid role is based in San Francisco or New York, requiring a minimum of two coordinated in-office days per week, with a future increase to three days.

You have an owner's mentality, taking pride in your work and your team's contributions. You'll contribute to scaling design across the company and grow by building for ambitious customers in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing complex financial or B2B products at scale.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high craft in visual design, interaction design, and systems thinking.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data teams to drive product strategy.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design processes and usability best practices.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining design systems and standards.
  • Ownership mindset with a track record of shipping impactful products.
  • Excellent prototyping skills to communicate design concepts and interactions.
  • Familiarity with AI-native automation and its application in product design.

Responsibilities

  • Use creative thinking to establish and execute the vision for team initiatives.
  • Challenge the status quo, push innovation, and inspire people toward unified outcomes.
  • Efficiently execute to ship products that deliver impact for business and customers.
  • Partner with leadership to communicate concisely and influence product and design outcomes.
  • Work across the entire business stack, building vision and strategy while ensuring operational components are in place.
  • Contribute to growing and scaling design across the broader company and within the Design org.
  • Push forward and maintain a high design bar and level of execution.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Data teams to define and launch new products and features.
