About this role

Assort Health is building the most comprehensive patient experience platform powered by specialty-specific agentic AI. As a Senior Agent Software Engineer you will create omnichannel AI agents that integrate with EHR/PMS systems and complex provider preferences.

You will develop scalable software solutions that comply with HIPAA and other security standards while working with generative AI and voice/transcription models. Features and products are built from the ground up in a fast-paced environment.

High autonomy is paired with active participation in design and development discussions. Complex problems are solved in innovative ways through rapid iteration and experimentation on an agile team.

You will engage directly with healthcare professionals to tailor solutions that meet real-world needs and share in key decisions alongside the founders at this stage of company growth.

Requirements

4–8+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of impact at a major tech company or high-growth startup
Strong engineering fundamentals and demonstrated ability to design, build, and scale production-grade applications or systems
Willingness to wear multiple hats from design and development to testing and occasional support
Comfortable with rapid iteration, experimentation, and learning from failure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Develop scalable software solutions that comply with HIPAA and other security standards
Work closely with the engineering team to develop features and products from the ground up
Solve complex problems in innovative ways with a high degree of autonomy
Participate actively in design and development discussions and contribute fresh ideas
Engage with healthcare professionals to tailor software solutions that meet real-world needs

Make key decisions alongside the founders while wearing multiple hats
