Nuvo

San Francisco, US · Full-time · $135,000 – $300,000

About this role

Nuvo is redefining the $11 trillion B2B commerce and payments market by bringing business-to-business transactions online. While consumer commerce has been reshaped by technology, the three-times-larger B2B economy still relies on outdated methods like paper forms, PDFs, and spreadsheets.

As a Software Engineer, you will help build category-defining products that tackle multi-party workflow automation, identity, risk, and large-scale data. You will write and review high-quality, clean, and performant code while collaborating with engineering, design, and product teams to implement intuitive experiences.

Your work will involve using the best tools for the job—whether Vue, GraphQL, or a custom DSL for defining roles and permissions. You will play an active role in shaping the engineering culture, establishing best practices, and contributing to the growth of the team.

Your impact will be huge: on team culture, on our customers, and on the broader economy. This is an opportunity to build 0-to-1 products in a fast-growing company solving hard, ambiguous problems with a strong bias for action.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior experience building and shipping user-facing products from start to finish.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical solutions clearly.
  • A passion for internet technologies and knowledge of trends in modern software engineering.
  • Experience working in an early-stage engineering team or a fast-growing company solving hard ambiguous problems with a strong bias for action.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks like Vue or React and API design using GraphQL or REST.

Responsibilities

  • Write and review high-quality, clean, and performant code.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement intuitive user experiences.
  • Shape the engineering culture by establishing best practices and contributing to team growth.
  • Use the best tools for the job, including Vue, GraphQL, and custom DSLs for roles and permissions.
  • Design and build systems for multi-party workflow automation and identity management.
  • Work on large-scale data challenges and risk-related features.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and product teams to define the product roadmap for 0-to-1 initiatives.

Benefits

  • Equity ownership in a fast-growing startup redefining a massive market.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Flexible work arrangements (remote-friendly within the Bay Area).
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact, 0-to-1 products with a talented team.
