Twitch is the world's biggest live streaming service, empowering 7+ million creators through the Creator Monetization team. This role focuses on building intuitive, accessible monetization tools that reward authentic community engagement.

As a Software Engineer II, you will take ownership over services powering creator monetization, architecting and operating mission-critical systems. You'll write and maintain code in Go, TypeScript, or other languages, delivering code that directly impacts creators' livelihoods.

You'll work as part of the Creator Growth organization, collaborating with engineers, product managers, designers, and data analysts. The team is committed to empowering live communities through scalable monetization solutions.

With mentorship from senior engineers and tech leads, you'll improve engineering processes and participate in design discussions. You'll shape how the team builds, contributing to code reviews that raise the bar for everyone.

Requirements

1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Experience with Go, TypeScript, or other modern programming languages in a production environment.
Experience working on distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and data analysts.
Understanding of creator monetization or live streaming platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Take ownership over services powering creator monetization, architecting, building, and operating mission-critical systems.
Build systems that matter by contributing to experiences and services that power creator earnings, payouts, and monetization programs.
Write and maintain code in Go, TypeScript, or other languages in our stack, with mentorship from senior engineers and tech leads.
Solve problems that span multiple teams, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver elegant solutions.
Improve engineering processes, participate in design discussions, and contribute to code reviews that raise the bar for the entire team.
Work across the stack and collaborate closely with engineers throughout the Creator Growth organization.
Partner with product managers, designers, and data analysts to deliver scalable monetization solutions.
